How will I know if you and your services are right for me?
Sometimes finding the right therapist can be challenging. If you find you are not feeling a sense of safe, comfortable connection within our relationship after a session or two, I will always support you in finding a more appropriate fit.
Fees/Payment?
I charge $135 per 55min session. This is consistent with the fee scale for Registered Social Workers.
Are your services covered by extended health plans?
Extended health plans vary but social workers are often covered where other counselling professionals are not.
Are you registered with any other service coverage programs?
I am a registered therapist with the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA), Crime Victims' Assistance Program (CVAP), Medavie Blue Cross, and ICBC and my services are covered for clients who have prior approval through those programs.
For those clients that are eligible for FNHA coverage, after connecting, if you wish to continue I am able to apply for my services to be covered on your behalf.
Do you offer sliding scale rates?
At this time my sliding scale spaces are full. Please contact me if you are interested in getting on a waitlist. My sliding scale rate is context dependent-call me to discuss.
Can I claim session costs on my Income tax?
Yes, any costs not covered by extended health plans can be claimed on your income taxes. Registered Social Workers are eligible medical professionals.
